Client description:

The International Lawyers Group (ILG) is a network of independent law firms that provides legal services to clients in over 30 countries across six continents.

Challenge:

Although founded in 1978, the network did not have a modern, functional website through which to establish its online presence, provide members with access to more information, documents, and images, and allow them to communicate via a personalized, streamlined dashboard.

Visual identity:

The client received three logo designs and chose the one below.

The final version is based on a contrast between typography and color. The first typeface is sans-serif, rooted in the humanities, and suggests the diversity of ILG jurisdictions and members through variations in vertical and horizontal thickness.

The second type of letter builds on the first and conveys both the group’s experience and its desire to look toward the future, attract new members, discover fruitful collaborations, and continue to build a truly dynamic and international network.

The color-coded initials symbolize the connection between members and clients, and between the past and the future. The initials were positioned in the center to avoid an industry cliché and to encourage the client to take a closer look at the brand’s personality.

Website content: maintaining communication with the organization’s members proved to be almost impossible, and the only resources available to us were a list of members and the countries in which they provide legal support.

As a result, all content was created entirely from scratch and involved several hours of research in order to position each member, each law firm, and all contact details in the most intuitive way possible.

For the members-only dashboard section, the content was created to guide even the least tech-savvy users toward a friendly and intuitive experience.

Web design:

Once the content was approved, the design organized the information in the most creative way possible and created an easy, visually original journey for users.

The website design also stays true to the selected visual identity and distills it into the site’s impactful visual details.

Web development:

In addition to implementing the design, our web development team had to build from scratch a control panel accessible only to organization members: documents, conference images, and the option to securely send messages to one another.
